Glass Testing Machine High-Temperature Glass Parallel Plate Rotational Viscometer PRVM-1500
Measurement of the temperature dependence of viscosity changes in glass and phase changes in the liquid phase.
A rotational cylindrical viscometer is used as a measurement method for the low viscosity range of glass. This involves immersing a cylinder into a molten sample and measuring the torque generated by rotating either the inner or outer cylinder to determine the viscosity. In this case, a certain amount of sample is required, and the container for melting it, as well as the furnace for melting, need to be of a corresponding size. For example, when verifying the temperature dependence of glass viscosity, it is preferable to minimize the sample volume and use a heating furnace that responds well to temperature changes. Therefore, this viscometer adopts a parallel plate rotation method that allows viscosity measurement with a small amount of sample and has been designed to keep the heating furnace as compact as possible.
